Does My Pug Need a DOG Tag?

Any pug that is going to be outside should always wear a DOG tag (ID tag). In fact, even pugs that are primarily indoors should wear a DOG tag incase they somehow find their way outside.

The Saluki is represented in Sumarian carvings dated back to 7000 B.C. It is said that Whenever one sees the word "dog" in the Bible it means the Saluki, because the Saluki is believed to be among the oldest dog breeds.

A DOG ID tag is not the same thing as a DOG license tag. A DOG license tag often has a code number to identify the pug and information on whether the pug has had its shots. A DOG license tag allows anyone that finds the pug to contact the vet that the license came from, but, if it's after hours or a weekend the vet may be closed.

The German Shepherd Dog is also known as the Alsatian, or Deutsche Schaferhund. Rin Tin Tin, probably the most famous American German Shepherd, was actually born in France in September of 1918 and then brought to America later.

A DOG ID tag, on the other hand, is a personal DOG tag that the owner can put important information on. This information generally includes the pug's name, home address, phone number and occasionally things like allergies that the pug has. This allows the average person on the street to contact the pug's family quickly and easily any day of the week.

The greyhound is the fastest breed of dog. It is capable of running at speeds of around 45 miles per hour. Greyhounds are excellent for hunting and racing, but they are notorious for laziness, often preferring to cuddle on a couch, rather than run. This makes them an ideal house pet.

It's also important to remember that a DOG ID tag is only as good as the collar it's attached to. Be sure that your pug's collar is not too tight or too loose and that it is made of a material that you can easily attach the DOG ID tag to. After all, the tag will not do anyone any good if it falls off and gets lost.

The largest and the smallest dogs to live in the White House were both there during the tenure of president James Buchanan. The president had a Newfoundland named Lara. His niece, Harriet Lane, had a tiny toy terrier named Punch.

While it's not usually required that an owner put a personal ID tag on their pug, the benefits of doing so are obvious.

The Lundehund is a breed which has lived solely on two islands in the north of Norway. The Lundehund has sever extra toes and paw cushions! That makes it excellent as a climbing dog, bred for rugged terrain. It also has the unusual ability to close its ears.
