How to Cope with a Missing Pug

Roaming, wandering and missing DOGS can be one of the inevitable side events of DOG ownership. When you�re at the puggie park, it may be easy for your pug to roam outside of the confines of the area. But how do you handle a roaming, wandering or even worse, a missing DOG?



Bulldogs have unusually large heads. In fact, due to the way in which they've been bred, bulldogs have trouble delivering young. All bulldog puppies are delivered by caeserean section now. The mothers can't deliver the heads naturally.


Review these tips on dealing with a missing DOG:

1) Whatever you do � do not panic.



The official record for the heaviest dog was set way back in 1989. The dog in question was an English mastiff named Zorba. At the time, he weighed 343 pounds. He was 8 years old when he was weighed.


2) Remain calm by staying in one place so that your pug can find its way back to you as you call its name.



Newfoundlands have webbed feet, just like ducks. They also have extremely water-proof fur. Those features, as well as their great strength, loyalty and willingness to learn, make newfies great candidates to work as water rescue dogs.


3) Request a friend to help you find your pug so that you can remain in the last place your pug saw you. While you wait for the return of your canine, ask the friend to scour the immediate area



The cartoon character, Scooby Doo, was a great dane. Scooby Doo is well known for being constantly willing to eat anything and everything. In reality, a great dane can indeed eat a lot of food. In fact, they can eat up to 8 � pounds a day!


4) After two hours assume your pug is lost or stolen.

5) Contact your veterinarian and animal shelters to post a missing DOG report.

6) Create a missing DOG pamphlet. Include a photo of your pug, along with your contact information and a nominal reward. Remember to share these photos with your vet and local animal shelters.



The Giant Schnauzer is known in german as "Riesenschnauzer", meaning "the giant". It should closely resemble the other Schnauzers, miniature and standard. However, they are really completely unique and unrelated breeds. They have just developed in such a way, over time, that they look similar to each other.


7) Be proactive in talking to as many neighbors and other DOG owners of the area to inquire about your DOG.



The Broholmer is a breed that is recognized only in Denmark. It was thought extinct in the 1960's but, in December of 1974, a purebred Broholmer popped up in Finland. This dog was a male, and the owners hoped to find a female for him to mate with, but it never happened. While still recognized as a breed, an example has yet to appear again.


DOG tip: To protect and identify your DOG, obtain an ID tag. These metal tags come engraved in metal, in plastic and in other materials. There are innumerous types of ID tags that fit on a wide array of DOG collars. To make it hard for thieves to commandeer your DOG, do not include your canine�s name on the ID tag.



Schipperke is Flemmish for "little captain" and the name is appropriate because most schipperkes seem to act almost human. they are happy, intelligent and usually enjoy being the center of the universe around them.
