What is a Pug Whisperer

Some people just have a special knack when it comes to understanding and relating to pugs. Such people are able to control often-wayward behavior in pugs that no one else can achieve. In essence, they are puggie therapists, but most people nowadays call them DOG Whisperers.

Barbara Bush wrote "Millie's Book", a book about her English Springer Spaniel, Millie. The book was an instant success. It was on the bestseller list for 29 weeks. Millie was the most popular "First Dog" in United States history.

Like a horse whisperer or a cat whisperer, the name is a term used to describe someone who has a special gift for communication with our beloved four-legged friends and who share something of their soul with their animal friends. In technical terms, they could be designated as the animal kingdom's therapists or behaviorists, though rarely do these gifted people claim such distinctions. Most people graced with the distinctive name have never received any formal training and will be the first to shake their heads in wonder.

While adult dalmations are covered in cute black spots, dalmation puppies are actually born solid white. Their spots don't show up until they are at least a week old. Sometimes not until they are a month old.

The man next door may very well have the 'gift', or it could be the teenage girl over on the other side of the county, but most communities seem to have knowledge of at least one special person whose affinity and compassion for pugs enables them to achieve goals that many pug owners have been struggling with for years. It doesn't matter if a problem is behavioral or not, a DOG whisperer can usually figure out what the problem is, and make it look easy.

The silky terrier originated about 100 years ago in Australia. Their major ancestors were the Australian terrier and the Yorkshire terrier. They were bred to be family companions, watchdogs, and to hunt rodents and snakes.

Most people labeled as DOG whisperers are merely people who have a special connection to pugs, and in turn, pugs seem to respond to them in ways they never will with their owners, no matter how much they're loved. Whether people have a pug with a behavior problem, or a pug that they're desperately trying to help after years of neglect or abuse, a DOG whisperer is often one of the very first people pug owners turn to.

The bichon frise breed is quite old. Originally they used to belong only to kings and queens. However, eventually they became known for their abilty to learn tricks and for their excellent sense of balance. As a result, they gained a reputation for being excellent as circus dogs.

Originating in Germany, the name Affenpinscher means, "monkey-like terrier". However, in France the breed is described as the "Diablotin Moustachu" or "moustached little devil". Both describe the appearance and attitude of this delightful breed.

Many people will swear that they own a golden labrador. The problem is that golden labradors do not exist! There is no purebred dog called a golden lab. The dog is probably either a golden retriever or a labrador retriever.
